Note that Side B is incorrectly attributed as "Black Man's Cry" on both sleeve and label but is actually the song "Eko Ile" from Afrodisiac (1973).

This release, Black Man's Cry, appears to be a reissue of Pathe's Fela Ransome Kuti Volume 1 & 2, with less tracks. It's a mix of material 1973, 1975 and 1977.

This is also released under Fela Ransome Kuti as "Vol. 1 & 2" on Pathe Marconi/EMI France 1977 PM 511 / C150-1598374 -- but with the additional tracks Let's Start on B1 and Je'nwi Temi (Don't Gag Me) on C2. See also http://www.discogs.com/Fela-Ransome-Kuti-Volume-1/release/541497 for another variant of the 1st disc of both sets.

Many other Fela releases are released under variations of the name as Fela Kuti/Fela Ransome Kuti/Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Africa '70 or Egypt '80.
