Unlike their other albums, "Oto" is more oriented downtempo and has a real space-like feel into it. The intro "Bullet" begins the set with its solid techno rhythm, but the rest is slower but cool. To illustrate what I mean, the outro "Setback" could fit very well in a Massive Attack record.
It is Fluke, therefore you can't be disappointed. Each Fluke album has its own atmosphere but you still can find their unique touch of wise lyrics combined with an incredible mix of instruments and samples.
From "Six Wheels On My Wagon" to "Puppy" (I don't include "Techno Rose Of Bighty" since it is too short and too synth-pop), it is only high quality and criminally overlooked music.

Quite new to Fluke, Oto is my third encounter after Puppy and Risotto. When I started Oto the first time, it stunned me instantly, when it ended with Set Back, I was disappointed - because it was over. Bermuda on Risotto suits better to Oto, which is, subjective impression, a bit to nervous. I wouldn't call it Chill as I have seen people name it. It is more. It is sophisticated, the right stuff to stand off from the conventional

A great dark album, that is mainly downtempo. Fans of Massive Attack's 'Mezzanine' may want to check this one out as they clearly used this album as an inspiration.
