A superb track here from Francisco – neither house, techno or italo-disco, but a combination of all these sounds. A sci-fi trip that builds from a simple beginning through layers of floaty synths that grow, echo and weave. Subtle percussion and a disco-style “real” hand-clap sample keep you moving, until half way through the track a heavier kick drops, accompanied by a single bass note, and the whole track takes off, and you with it. Brilliant, entrancing, exciting, invoking visions of crazy hedonistic disco parties of years gone by while simultaneously thrusting you into the future.

Marco Passarani lends his hand to what is ultimately a disappointing remix. Not because it’s bad - in fact it’s really rather good - but because it’s nowhere near as good as the original. Perhaps listen to the B-side first to help avoid judging it too harshly! It sounds more in line with the Pigna sound he and his cohorts have cultivated over the past couple of years – super clean, tight, funky and trippy, but not really sounding like something you’ve never heard before.
