i bought this because it often comes up as zappa's best album , for me this is no where near his best album .
it's mostly instrumental jazz that seems quite generic and at times a little boring ,suffice to say i feel no need to spin it again anytime soon.
onto the pressing and the mastering , my copy has no warps and minimal surface noise but to my ears the drum kit sounds like a beginners kit or perhaps the drummer didn't know how to tune .
also it doesn't sound like a studio album , it sounds like it was mostly recorded live with minimal if any overdubs which may or may not appeal.
perhaps i have been spoiled by dweezil zappa's version of "peaches en regalia" so when i heard this track which opens the album i was unimpressed.
overall i give the music 2/5 and the pressing/engineering a 9/10 so if you like this album this is a good one to collect.

Anyone knows how to identify US vs EU version ? US one lacks a lot of informations atm I write this comment.

Apparently this uses the same plates as the far more expensive Classic Records reissue!
