This is Fredesvinda García Valdés, simply known as Freddy, and this was both her debut and only release LP. She's here with the Humberto Suarez orchestra. She was the Cuban equivalent of Billie Holiday. And sang standards like: “The Man I love,” by George Gershwin, y “Night and Day,” by Cole Porter. Sadly in July 31, 1961 while in Puerto Rico she died of a massive heart attack, as a matter of fact, her 2nd.
