I can't get enough of this great disco hit "Dance Fantasy". It has cow bells. It has progressing synth hits. Great rhythm set in the middle of the tune for ones soul to let go and shuffle all over the dance floor. It's almost got a latin rhythm to it...but it's most certainly disco! Live on!

After hearing a great track by the Beat Conductor - 'Sumthin' Betta' (Gamm Records) I did some research and tracked the original sample, 'There's Something Better' by Free Life.

This is a fantastic gospel-edged groove with strong backing vocals, a lovely intro and a chunky rhythm track full of funky-soul. It is a little short, at just 3'30", but that's kinda nice in a way. The Beat Conductor's cut-up version is longer and more DJ friendly, but for those who love playing the original rubs I would highly recommend this.
A real gem of a tune.
