Any album cover that features Legos is all right by me. And Freeform's ME SHAPE continues that idea sonically, building his tracks block by block. He's back in his IDM phase here, with crisp beat programming and just a few sustained tones on "Yours Sincerely" (well, at least until the flatulence-jazz comes in). "Munchogram," though short, is quite appealing in a easy listening way, but "Zing" returns to metallic IDM until it whistles down at the end. "Arial Automatic," too, starts off on the factory line but soon shifts into funk. "Konk" keeps this mood, even with its metal can off-beat. "Meng," meanwhile, drifts into shapeless ambience, though "Superfink" returns to the funk, replete with flutes. "Gni" continues on that theme, and "Hey" almost makes it a habit. A nicely varied album with a diversity of moods.

Some of the most interesting work By Pyke since the Free EP, but still doesn't hit the spot. It’s something about his production that doesn’t appeal to my musical tastes at all. After his first works on SKAM he's taken a more minimalists approach on electronic music. This is still a step in the right direction and you can tell from Me Shape that he has progressed and matured from his other releases. If you're really looking for some good tracks from Pyke check out the Human LP on SKAM, it's one of his best.
