An experimental collage of 57 noisy repetitive samples, static and chaos, many recorded in the German language. Track 8 has a sample credited to Adolf Hitler. Many of these samples use recordings dating back to the late 1950’s. The tracks and samples sound manipulated and systematically cut up into shreds, creating a new kind of soundscape. Faint music is heard in the background of many of these pieces, however the music is from old time radio. To understand what this CD is about, you need to read the liner notes. According to Jurgenson, who was into Electronic Voice Phenomenon research, states that these recordings were made with a simple microphone and tape recorder. It is further explained that some of these voices had been recorded when no one else was around. Mysterious voices over the airwaves. The voices and sounds present are rather ghostly and unexplained. This is not music per se, but a rather haunting auditory masterpiece.
