Uniform Planet (Orbit Trance) is a hidden gem. It’s Goa trance, and the style reminds me of the Infinity Project meets Juno Reactor. Hear it. I had this on a mix tape bought in the summer of ’95 and incidentally was followed by Electrotete’s Alcatraz. Oh and good to know that on the other side the Infinity Project also appeared. It has a speech talking about the formation of the planets. What’s also remarkable with this track is that it comes from Spain, a country never known to have released such music, not at least in the 90’s. We’re talking about true Goa trance of course and not the full-on psy that spawned out of Ibiza towards late 90’s.

What’s also odd but lucky is that it was compiled on The Sound Of Goa Trance, an obscure Israeli CD which up to some years ago was a very rare sight, it’s still rare but you can always see copies for sale here now. The track has had the whole beat-less intro with the speech all cut to fit with the previous track and that counts for more than one minute. Pity, but at least it has had an appearance. It’s played almost up till the end, just slightly faded into the next track.

Me being a member of the DAT Mafia team I tried to get it for the compilation. Another member from Spain gave me a contact of one of the GGE members but was in vain. Uniform Planet will remain a much unknown gem.
