|1.||New York Duets|
It's an excerpt from the Gary Moore Show on television, probably 1962. Gary introduces Dorothy Louden and Eileen Farrell in a duet of New York songs. This piece of discarded entertainment history was in a dollar bin. It caught my attention, I bought it and now it's documented online via Discogs.com.
They're all dead now, Gary, Dorothy and Eileen. Today they rise from the dust to sing and entertain again. I'm probably one of only a handful of people who even gives a hoot.
The one I found is autographed by Dorothy to someone named Jack, note the way she x'ed out Eileen's name, funny. She's been dead since 2002 yet today, made someone laugh with something she wrote 55 years ago. There's something very real about that.
