As per many Asian cassette releases censorship has resulted in words being missed from 3 song titles: "This Is New (Love)", "Pump (It) Up" and "The (God) Film" all have references to religion and sex (even termed as love, in this case) removed.
In some cases tracks have even been known to be removed or replaced on official releases too (e.g. Korean releases of the Human League's "Dare" and "Travelogue" LPs).

As a big Numan fan, I own allmost all vinyls and original CD's. I bought this CD because I thought it was a good chance to have many of my vinyl b-sides issued on pristine digital quality. Bonus tracks were taken from original tapes issued on the 1995 Babylon Series which suffered from novice tape transfer skills. Compared to the original vinyls and well-done CD's from "NUMA", "Receiver Records" and "Castle Music", all tracks (10 to 13 the more noticeable) are played at slightly different speeds. Also I found stereo and phase invertions when compared to the originals. This badly-made release directly attempts with the artist legacy.

The 'Berserker' album is a true classic in Numan's discography, it fuses full on electronica with fretless bass and saxaphone. All songs on this album are excellent and Berserker is worthy successor to to the style Numan had developed on the previous release 'Worriors'.

Berserker, as a complete work is astounding. And held against even the best known acts of the time, this is an extremely mature album for a 24 year old to write. The title track could be released today and sound as fresh as it did then. It's a very well constructed piece that burns from the first chord, then completley slows up, expands, and then takes off again. I first heard this track in 1992 and it was the only song in a long time that actually had me smiling from ear to ear as I left my cd player on 'repeat' for nearly an hour.
An awesome, and greatly underrated album, which features other gems such as the paranoid industrial eba of My Dying Machine, and the incredible Viola of Cold Warning, just to cite a couple of great tracks.
