Various guises of the London Transport bus route #36 have run from NW London to SE London, taking in Peckham & New Cross, since the early 20th century. Hence the track names on this release are no mere coincidence.

In truth, neither New Cross or especially Peckham have ever had an acid techno free party scene, although the New Cross area at least used to have a fairly goth and crusty appeal.

The 'Peckham' track on here (looped industrialized tribal acid techno) has a mumbled vocal - "er, yeah, 70 please", which of course is what we all used to say to the bus conductors on the old routemaster 36 & 36A busses when travelling between Peckham and Lewisham.
