It turns out my copy is a composite of two separate editions listed here: LP 1 has the “Marketed by B & C ...” on the label, whereas LP 2 has “Manufactured by B & C ...” on the label. Everything else identical to this listing including matrix numbers + Porky / Pecko. Dutch printed sleeve. So, which edition is mine then?

Just found a LP Gat release by Phonodor, product of Litratone, Haifa, Israel. Set 4402, year of release 1978. Will thank for some help to edit it! I'll gladly provide photos + all the details. Many thanks!

really great sounding, some of the best deep bass i've heard on my system.
the new remixes by Nick are also quite good especially bringing out the guitar but
this pressing still seem to have more weight and bottom end.

Query: Is Rael Genesis + Brian Eno? Yes, computes true

Not listed here, the US 8-track tape (in pink cartridge) presents the album in incorrect sequence. LP side 2 material is presented as Program 3 and vice versa. Songs are presented in correct sequence within each LP side/program, but the sides/programs are in the wrong order.

I have a first Italian pressing and i have the hum on mine too.
so at least is not the in-house mastering from the pressing plant but anything made from the recording/mastering source.
The 2013 reissue, made by EMI, had no hum at all, and obviously is a remaster.
Glad i'm not the only to notice this issue.

So, i got the first press. There is a humming noise on all sides.

this LP seems to have an extremely bad mastering flaw on side A. no matter where the needle drops on side A's run-in groove, there is a very loud and annoying hum / droning noise that clears up once the music starts to fade in, and it returns on the run-out groove after 'grand parade' at the end of the side. any US version i've owned also has this noise on it, but it is much quieter. on the two CD versions I ever had of this, the noise is completely gone.

does anyone have any information about this? was it a mastering flaw that was ignored in favor of getting the record out as quickly as possible? was it intentionally there from the band or Eno in an attempt to create a sort-of subliminal feeling/tension while listening to the record?

i'ts not like ive had any sleepless nights over this, but ive always kind of scratched my head as to why this noise is on the vinyl pressings. any one have any info to give up on this?
