I bought this for my sister for Christmas and now I can see why she wanted this particular recording. It starts out slowly, subtlely but pleasantly enough, drawing the listener into a relaxed comportment unaware of the melodic trip about to be embarked upon. The Baroque structure and instrumentation charm the listener while instructing the uninitiated as to how it was that Telemann became the master of small orchestrations for which he is renowned. The music is fun, adventurous and invigorating and shows Telemann at his best. The pressing quality is also up to the standard one expects of the Germans. Worth getting if you love Baroque chamber music, especially the music of Georg Philip Telemann.

Fortunately for me my sister only wants this transcribed to some digital medium. I get to keep the record.
