Maybe is the production of the album but I dont find this vinyl extremely good. I prefer for example the other one Made in Holland from same year. Sound more clear.

The artwork for the 2 cd 2017 reissue feels like a tasteless and tacky chice from the music company, George’s point was to detach himself from his image even in the videos .... omitting the original artwork that had such a strong message is a quite disrespectful gesture...George wouldn’t have been happy

Sublime pop album not without its flaws. But contains some fantastic, simple, grown up pop hooks. 'Something to Save' 'waiting' 'cowboys and angels' 'heal the pain' 'praying for time' etc.
This was GM fully revealing his character and what made him tick. Powerful lyrical content and sparse but devastatingly effective arrangements make this probably my second 'go to' GM LP. I get a lot of pleasure still from 'older' which is my personal favourite and 'patience' probably my third, but this one also has a kind of joyfullness to some of the songs as well as a world weary melancholy which brings a nice duality to the whole affair.
The vocals are beautifully recorded and sung, they really are peerless.
GM was a modem songwriting genius that others can only aspire to, and he is unmatched.
A huge loss to musical entertainment and the world in general, a fascinating, interesting character who had so much love to give and a huge heart. RIP George.
PS, this is due to be re released on a 180gm double vinyl box set in 2017 so hold on to your money. My only other wish is for 'Older' to get a double 180gm vinyl reissue as original copies are fetching £300-£500.
