this is one amazing record, hands down my favorite Booth/Brown release (though I would have to add the Key Nell A + B remixes to this as well). the tracks follow a sort of theme - similar, very solid, crunchy beats, a chopped vocal sample that "solos" in several of the tracks, and string-type sounds. atmospheric, funky, crunchy, somewhat lo-fi, emotional, beautiful. a fantastic piece of music - Booth and Brown at their best.

A truly sublime piece of music that will go on forever in the depth of my mind. Well worth tracking down if you haven't got it. The bubble wrapping was the icing on the cake. Sugoi!

Key Nell is without a doubt one of Autechre/Gescom's best releases. It is interesting to note the similarities of some of Autechre's releases with Key Nell, particularly Cichli off of Chiastic Slide and Second Scape off of Anvil Vapre. To my ear, Second Scape starts off almost exactly the same as Autechre's Key Nell remix on Gescom's This.
