Geskia’s Silent 77 is an absolute breathtaking debut album which was out on Japan’s flau record label in 2008. Known for making electronic-oriented IDM plus elements combined from awesome trip hop beats (as in Aether’s Artifacts), glitch and break beat. He is the pivotal figure of Japan’s hip hop music scene.

The album is abstract – giving contrast feelings - equivocal – which is the real beauty that make Silent 77 – an album to hear out for.

Silent 77 is Geskia’s own imagination of the world through a child’s eye (you can see it in album cover), musically illustrated by the fusion of various sounds – modern classical (used in Fall Fall), delicate beats aided very frequently with child’s innocent voice, moments of calm ambient noise in between, glitched but warm vocal cuts, hip hop like beat boxing, piano blended artfully with 1977Ugly/2004IdealCopy and what not!

Eclectic sounds redound to give a lively feel – a testimony to Geskia’s music endeavor. It is an album to be cherished without trying to give adjectives to it as there’s no guarantee of having a static emotion attached to it.

Though the name is Silent 77 – the music itself expresses genuine feelings. A musical paradox!
