Italian electronic musician Gigi Masin's much sought-after 1986 first album, Wind, restored and remastered from the original tapes. Never commercially released, the LP was only given away at a number of small concerts, with many of the remaining copies destroyed during floods in the Venice-based musician's house. Quickly gaining recognition as something of a landmark ambient album in recent years, Wind is now lovingly presented again in its entirety. True to its original private issue, it is once again being made available through Gigi Masin's very own The Bear on the Moon Records.

Gigi Masin's uniquely intricate and at times deeply emotive compositions take the listener into a realm of contemplation, a spellbound mind state where time and space appear to dissolve. His sparse and hypnotic often loop-based compositions seem to draw parallels with Detroit Techno's earliest beginnings, all at once conjuring those same feelings of both melancholic longing and ecstatic joy. There is an uncountable amount of beauty in this. I'm really happy that this is available again.
Can't compare it with the original pressing but this one just sounds brilliant.
Everyone did a great job here. Thanks a lot.

This record will be receiving a CD release for the Japanese market some time this year. I believe Music From Memory is handling this.

This is one of the best things I've heard in the past few years, of any genre, bar none. Deeply recommended-
...minor detail: while this new artwork is suitable regarding its musical content, the original graphic was initially what captivated me, resulting in my listening to it in the first place...superior artwork all around and uniquely fitting despite it's seemingly abstract relation to the material. I plan on obtaining the reissue either way...though was simply curious as to 'why the update'?, seems unnecessary-

Absolutely beautiful mastering job - not lucky enough to have an original to compare but the mids and highs sit so nicely and sound so detailed texturally on wonderful deep bass. Packaging is beautiful too. Bless u for the repress x
