An overlooked house album. Glasgow Gangster Funk Tracs only released this one album, COME ON DIE YOUNG, but it's chocked full of solid beats made for dancing. "Pirate Radio" has a smooth flow, while "Space Travellin'" sticks mostly with the beat, bringing in its titular sample halfway through. "West Coast Bitch" adds some grit, while "Can't Get Hurt" adds some jazz. But when he goes full-on house, he doesn't skimp. "Find Anotha Ho!" pounds onto the floor relentlessly, while "Bring Back the Raw" complements the rhythm with a guitar riff and a sample of 'Who's That Lady?' And despite the dirty name and moaning of "The Jack-Off Hour," it's a nice deep house track. "Broken Robots in Your Head" introduce a little bit of acid, but not enough to make things taste tart. Come on, these tracks ask, die dancing.
