This is a great pressing and I'm disappointed to read tomfoolery about it. Considering most re-press companies just dump crap into the market en masse it's nice MOV wasn't. Hope they can improve their artist relations.

Great to see this masterpiece reissued, seems to be the year of great announcements as we can also find "The Orion Years" album repressed (age / thomas p heckmann) , also another under radar release dated from 1994, forgotten and timeless experience through ambient music field. That era was defining our "immaterial" future. "The Orion Years" -> https://www.discogs.com/Age-The-Orion-Years/release/14601547 > Now we have to purchase both of them and never forget!

Say what you will, this sounds absolutely pristine. Packaging is really nice also.

So how's this a Jonz cut if he died three years before this? It was either in the works for a long time or it's the same cut from a previous pressing... 2005 reissue entry has no runout info

The packaging is so nice and clean! The records are as clear as can be, and sound beautiful. I’ve listened on two turntables since receiving in the mail, and the album sounds perfect. Ignore all the fit throwing and grab this album if you love ambient music. Let the musicians and record labels sort out all the behind the scenes stuff, and you just lay back and drift off!

Just received this today - it’s beautiful- the packaging is excellent, the audio is pure and sounds fantastic. I had this on CD years ago and unfortunately lost it and had to make do with listening to it on YouTube. The artists haven’t released it on Spotify and there is no way I can afford to pay the ridiculous prices for second hand presses of the originals on vinyl. When I saw this I knew I had to get it - it’s a decent price, others had attested to the sound quality and I knew I would also support the artists when they release their version- but in the meantime I’d have this version - and if the artists never got round to finishing their version then at least I’d have this. Absolutely no regrets with what has arrived- it’s flawless in every sense - get a copy whilst you still can

Sounds just excellent, and, sanctioned or not, the comment from MOV states that it is made from high Q digital files 96 KHZ / 24 BIT and why not? The original DAT files can be copied, no? Why would the artist be the only ones with the "original master"?
If the Jedi Masters will make their own edition / re-make with added goodies I will be even more happy, I will buy it for sure but if it will be of higher quality than this pressing is however unlikely, but props to the artists for the excellent music either way.
I never had the original vinyl or the 2005 edition, but this looks and sounds just excellent (but if I were Tom or Mark I would be angry too, it's just that I'm a consumer, and, this music still sets me adrift from a distant past right up until the present and beyond).

This is still one of the most enchanting electronic albums ever. So I'm also very happy with this repress too.
Artwork is quite stunning and the sound quality is excellent. This is officially licensed by Sony. So I don't believe they mastered it from cd. One reason is that some tracks (for example D1 0:54) are separate instead of mixed like the CD version.
But I'm also looking forward to the other represses of GC too they will release later this year.

May be unsanctioned, but it's high quality and sounds great.

Please note : It is an unsanctioned release, without mine or Mark Pritchard's approval.
Music on Vinyl did NOT have access to original masters. As the artists, only we have the original DATs.
Therefore they used a CD to master this. They lied.
