Classic stuff, and another piece of the Boston puzzle when it comes to electro. Here you have a pre-NY Arthur Baker, multi-instrumentalist/producers (and siblings) Michael Jonzun and Maurice Starr, and Alan Schivek, who once participated in a studio just west of Boston with none other than Tom Moulton. Prior to Baker's NYC career, and before Jonzun/Starr's New Edition and New Kids successes, all three were producing (and in the case of the latter two, performing) myriad funk, soul, and disco records. The short-lived Glory project is best known for this early electro workout, which came before the Jonzun Crew AND before "Planet Rock". Who influenced whom? It doesn't really matter of course, with vocoder-tinged elastic electro boogie as um... nice as this. Killer sparse groove AND a piece of history to boot.
