It's been a long time since I've heard Glaxo Babies, and I just got this compilation recently. Hands down, my favorite is "This Is Your Life", which is both catchy and haunting, and complete with a little spoken insert which seems to be sampled from a birdwatcher's radio program or something ("we feel that this is to project the sound in all directions"). "Christine Keeler" is also a favorite, as well as "Who Killed Bruce Lee". The mood is rather dark, with lots of minor chords, and the bass & guitar have a rather off-kilter sound, but somehow it all comes together to create some very interesting music. Not your average punk/post-punk band...these guys were "on another wavelink".
