Compared to volume 1 there was a big improvement. Volume 2 is now a REAL mix and selected tracks flow marvel whereas the previous volume was in great part anything but mixed and track selection was patchy like if Goa Gil had to quickly pick up the next track since style and tempo changed greatly. Anyway, volume 1 became notorious for that Etnica track which there’s no need to write the story about again. I wonder if it wasn’t that track what popularity that mix would have achieved except for the ‘sympathy’ of being from 1995.

Volume 2 is one hard-as-nails and intense mix. After Goa Gil’s intro an exclusive track by Transwave starts the trip. This was so far released only here, mixed, until Transwave released his now ridiculously rare and expensive ‘Best of’ over a decade ago. Tracks 5, 7 and 8 are also exclusive. Track 7, Alien Form is such a great track; pity was never released elsewhere unmixed. Track 8 is an alternate version of a released track by none less than those veteran acid-heads, the Green Nuns. The version here is a rawer, rougher and less polished, maybe an earlier one or an alternate mix, maybe not mastered properly even. The released version is of course better but this one is not much short of it and flows perfectly in this fiery mix. If you are a Green Nuns fan you have to have this.

Volume 1 was reissued in 2014 and volume 2 has been reissued last year. Note how volume 2 was also deemed rare up to some years ago; and even volume 1; now both are available abundantly and at low prices. And that happened before the reissue, even for volume 1. They are now in the list of many Goa CDs which up to ‘some’ years ago they were still rare and expensive but now lurk around in quantities and cheap. And that’s not a bad thing of course.

This is my alltime fav. compilation mixed by Goa Gil ever!
A Hard hitting set straight to your face futuring biggest goa artists back then, artists such as Transwave (with a mindblowing track),MFG,Reflecta with a realy wierd but ultra psychedelic track,GNOTR with full 303 lines in it,Doof with a classic track.

If you run into this cd,and if you love oldschool goa trance,GET IT !
