What I love about the Burial remix is that on first listen I was genuinely taken aback by how unusual it sounds. This is a feeling I rarely get since the turn of the century.
Whilst music that sounds 'different' can draw you away seemingly uninterested, I was compelled to listen to this again and again and again.
With every listen I absorb something more and I am emotively taken back to nights spent at sweaty parties somewhere underground in London. And then that long walk home through the back streets of the city as the sun comes up, watching bin men cleaning up the streets and deliveries being made to local shops.
Clearly a Marmite track based on other reviews. But if it works for you, it really works.

To be brutally honest, the musically inept people denigrating Burial's incredible remix need new ears. I mean I know and understand that music is subjective and that it's all a matter of opinion, however I seriously just cannot wrap my head around what there is to dislike about this specific remix, as there is quite frankly genuinely nothing wrong with it at all. It is definitely not a "massive disappointment" nor does it "fail on so many levels". If anything, both tracks are pretty damn lit to say the least. I give this release 5 stars as it sincerely does feature one of the BEST remixes, if not GREATEST tracks in general that this dude has ever produced! Whatever you do, DON'T listen to the hate!

The Burial remix is a massive disappointment. To see this from such a talented producer is a real shame, it could have been amazing.

Oh dear, everything about the original sounds amazing, and then there's the burial remix, gone are the silky vocal tones that actually remind you of the 'real' inner city life that goldie imagined back in 94,and although it should work on paper with burial also a great conveyer of inner city blues, and I'm an ardent burial fan from the start, the remix fails on so many levels-a classic case of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.If you want to hear classic burial in the hear and now switch over to his remix of deep summer by monic which is an absolute corker.

Not that anyone is remotely interested, but the Burial remix contains a sample of the Playstation game Dino Crisis at 0:45. It's the sound of trying to access a DDK locked door without both the Input Disc and the Code Disc.

I like how it sounds. The 90 feeling is for me very intense. I'm feeling being back in this time. The Burial Remix get better with every spin but it could be longer. The End comes too abruptly.

whoa, goldie's 2017 rebuild is actually very good! for the most part, just tightens up the original with a surprising amount of restraint. diane charlamagne's vocals are higher in the mix. R.I.P....

Anyone else getting a KLF vibe? End minute sounds like it's ripped from an old b-side...
