Umor Rex is based in Mexico, but the cover indicates "Made in the European Union" and it's distributed by Thrill Jockey in Chicago. So picking a single country is difficult with this one. At the end of the day, it's of little import.

Anyway, this plays with hiss. Sounds like it's an artifact of the recording process, but I can't be sure. Also, as with the most recent several U-Rex records, there is some background noise in the vinyl. Snaps and static, even after a cleaning. Very minor overall, but notable. Sad, because their pressing quality used to be top notch, in the not-too-distant past. (Damn vinyl boom is resulting in a glut of bad wax, isn't it?)
