The crackling vinyl sound in the re-remix seems to be intentional. I have a digital copy of this mix (from the German compilation 'Dizcotheque IV') and the crackling is audible. It is repetitive (always the same) and so certainly sampled with a reason.

"We can never be satisfied" ... those words are sampled from Martin Luther King allocution at the freedom march in 28th august 1963 in Washington ...

Is it normal that the Studio 54 Re-Re Mix is in a bad quality? Really crackling..

The Studio 54-remix is based around a sample (loop) from Lou Rawls "You'll never find another love like mine". Very cleverly used, almost in a "wild pitch'-kinda style. Hypnotic and yes, pure House !
