Entertaining while being dumb, Guttermouth released this disc around the time of Rancid and others getting off the ground with their MTV hits and so forth. They prooved to be an interesting alternative to smart, political punk by displaying each others' differences through comparisons to each others' food in their own cultures. They stood up for their right to drink (lame), but then turned around and made pretty good songs to express the good-natured side of frustration. Instead of getting angry and spinning with thoughts about these problems in society, they stood up, said "we're gonna mock this thing till we die," and wrote a very good album, which is this one. Check it out to see where Blink 182 owes a bit of gratitude to.
