I've finally tracked down a vinyl copy of this EP. It has taken 2 years and a good few quid to get a copy on vinyl. I knew it was popular, and at the time of release it was available from the label website, so I thought I'd get round to buying a copy eventually not realising how quickly it would sell out. Little did I know it would take this long to get my hands on it. Oh well, you live and learn - the moral of this story - buy on pre-order to avoid missing out!!!! Otherwise you could end up paying way over the odds........

Four gorgeous tracks from Halogenix, with Cleveland Watkiss providing the vocals on the title track. Not sure yet which track is my favourite but Shores with vocals sampled from 'As Soon As I Get Home' by Faith Evans is a real contender and could be why this release is so sought after. Her vocals are superb and fit the almost wonky London beat perfectly. Beyond the Bounds is my favourite on the EP at the moment, and Shank is a great track too, darker, more urgent, throbbing bass. I do love Laurence's production style, lazy, not quite Lenzman, but closer to his stuff, than the junglist, darker side of the label. Considering we are now up to 50 odd releases on META so far, why this release is so rare is a little puzzling. It was the same with META022 and META037, although I had the sense to pre-order those two. Both are hard to find on vinyl, although I understand why both of those releases are rare. The production on this EP is sumptuous as you would expect from Halogenix and the cover art superb, so maybe I'm just missing something. An excellent release though, and a treasured addition to my collection.
