By the time this album came out, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes were riding high on success. Problem is that the egos started getting in the way. Harold and Teddy Pendergrass were at each other's throat's, and it was kinda driving a wedge between members of the group. Good thing is that the music did not suffer. "Bad Luck" was a massive hit, and it got played on the radio constantly. I love how in the 70's, songs really told great stories. Songs like "Where Are All My Friends" and "It's All Because Of A Woman" had stories that really made you think. "Hope That We Can Be Together Soon" was a terrific ballad, showcasing Harold, Teddy and featuring Sharon Paige. The crown jewel was the fantastic "Pretty Flower". Teddy really showed had skilled of a singer he really was, and it was one of the reasons why fans really looked at Teddy as the true leader of the group. As usual some albums in the 70's had serious sequencing issues. This is how I would have done it:
Side 1
1.Bad Luck
2.To Be True
3.Nobody Could Take Your Place
4. It's All Because Of A Woman
Side 2
1. Where Are All My Friends
2. Somewhere Down The Line
3. Hope That We Can Be Together Soon
4. Pretty Flower

With that aside though, this is another classic album!!!!

Pretty flower it's one of the most beautiful love songs i've ever heard. I know, it's a poor review but that's enough. Just listen the song :)
