This album from the electronic urban guerrilla's, Heldon, differs from previous releases because of the 14 minute epic "Stand By". This features Richard Pinhas in truly savage form taking his guitar work (openly acknowledged as strongly influenced by Fripp) to another level. The bass is a monster in the tradition of Jannick Top and Bernard Paganotti (Magma boys) and the track is a sonic juggernaut. This record has been a favourite of mine since it was first released. Small wonder.

from my article "From the land of Schizo and beyond..." in Audion 23 (Nov.1992)
STAND BY again took a step further on to more powerful realms, with three very different tracks: a 22 minute suite entitled Bolero, which although based on the classical bolero formula, diversified into more characteristic INTERFACE realms, Patrick Gauthier's Un Drole De Journee showed strong influence of his work with Magma and Weidorje, and is certainly unique for an Heldon track, and then there's Stand By itself, 14 minutes of the heaviest gutsy rocking Heldon on record, certainly not synth music by any stretch of the imagination, even King Crimson never hinted at this! Certainly Heldon went out with a bang!

I really dig this album. A great Electronic LP. Bolero is a good example of what we could play with a guitar and a synth. in the 70's. A Fripp style of guitar and a cool loop in the Ravel's mood. Richard Pinhas helped by ex-Magma’s members Patrick Gauthier and Klaus Blasquiz was experimenting in the same way Manuel Gottsching did with Ashra in Germany. If you like 70's repetitive music you’ll enjoy this too.
