One of the finest new releases in 2010. And one of the finest releases in the genre altogether. Hemendex are a strong collective producing tasty honey cells and blasting them out into the open.

'Reset 1' is a perfect kickstart of things to come - manifesting itself to a single detail, without the danger of sinking into pretentiousness. If you're insisting on a reference, well, think of Trans Am, Put the Rifle Down and Devo, but Hemendex are heart and soul all of their own - and this is no group of retro-geeks; 'Made Of Plastic', 'Waiting In Line' and 'Detox' are all very much today's pieces of music; sharp statements about the world we live in, energetic and sentimental at the same time, delivered as a perfect 'feeling good' overdose. They cherish the past and the future, and the future sounds very bright indeed - in all of its yellow and black. A highly recommended listen.
