Could you please share some more information, like Rights Society, LC, images? Just to see if we are dealing with, indeed, a Dutch release. Might also be a European release, but made in Holland.

Monster vies with Feets Don't Fail Me Now for his worst disco album. Though Feets may be an ultimately worse record, this one contains arguably the worst single song in his entire career: "Go For It." The only use I could imagine for this unlistenable track is in some kind of music hell, with its abominable chorus repeated endlessly. The eight-minute "Don't Hold It In" is no slouch either. Opening with a cheesy faux-rock intro, its chorus is nearly as bad.

Monster includes the minor classic "Stars in Your Eyes," a great track also released in an 11-minute version on a promo single. It's smooth, machine-made disco. There's a live performance of the song on YouTube, which surprised me as I didn't think Hancock ever performed any of his disco stuff live. Then there's the obligatory ballad "Making Love" which is surprisingly decent, relatively speaking. The lyrics are totally embarrassing ("guide me to your special place"), but there's also the obligatory Rhodes solo, which is nice.

Luckily he would regain his composure on the next album, the excellent "Mr Hands."
