Interesting to read the previous reviews saying that 'The Wedge' is their preferred tune on this release. Personally I prefer Swing Time. For me swing time is just so much more of an interesting tune, the keys, guitar backing and synth vocal track mesh really well. The bassline which really starts to pound towards the middle and later stages of the track provides that bit of moodiness.

However what really made me go wow was the last section from about 6 mins onwards. The simplicity of the breaks and the change-up of the sample as well as the power of the bassline takes the track into a whole new dark realm!
Love it :D

regrettably sold all my metalheadz collection a month ago. having withdrawal symptoms already.....so started to buy them back - its going to be costly no doubt.

The Wedge - this is an absolute beauty. all the right complementary sounds all fuzed together over a lovely riding sub b line - i can almost remember the vibration of this at Quest on their 15K rig with Fabio slamming down the vibe. On those nights at 3am, sweaty and tingly sensations all over....this is what Intelligent jungle was all about. Production is flawless. A gem to own and relatively cheap to pick up.

SwingTime is still a good tune - equally well produced with scattered and granulated beats, interesting changing b lines with 70s fuzed funk melodic snippets, but for me its all about The Wedge

Considering this is 22 years old - its still a masterpiece and definitely staying in my collection from hereon!
Sadly the duo - brothers Mark & Jason Goodings didn't have a vast back catalogue but their contributions to the scene were damn fine. Mark sadly passed away in November 2016 - RIP - but the music always lives on.....
