I absolutely love this album. Its got that frazzled, swollen, lumpy kick of 'outsider house' (LOL), though we all know Jamal Moss was kicking out scuzzy hardware jams when Ron Morelli still worked in Starbucks, but nevertheless manages to retain an ethereal dream like beauty.

Just about every single one of these tracks could jam in a club, but they also function as meditative 'relaxing' music. Most electronic music doesn't do that, its usually one or the other, for the club or the sofa, this or that. Relatively few artists manage to make music that can simultaneously perform these contradictory functions. LTJ Bukem is one with his 'intelligent jungle', Aphex Twin could be described as another along with various other 90s IDM auteurs, in the present day Shackleton's music manages the same infinite ability too.

Here Jamal Moss pulls of the same trick with hard hitting house jams that work as well at 5am Saturday morning as 5pm Sunday night.

One of the best albums of 2016 in my humble opinion.
