I thought there would be at least about double the surface noise (it's present but super low and sporadic in the form of micro crackles, you really need to look for it to hear it or wear headphones to find it) and in loud passages it's virtually non existant. It is a bit loud but for a digital master (i am almost sure it's digital) you can barely get any better than this. I have other pretty looking soundtracks but this one is probably the best sounding of the small lot (except that speakers corner release of Breakfast at Tiffany's that is simply glorious, though it's not colored so relatively not as pretty).

The Lp version will available again in a few times in February or March. Purple and picture format lp's. For more info check this out at vinyl digital /Juno records and HHV records. We are waiting for this.

What about a simple black vinyl at a reasonable price? Is this too much to ask?

Judging by these reviews, maybe I should be glad my pre-orders of the picture disc and purple vinyl were cancelled. Still no explanation why these two versions were never sold in the UK, not a good look.

You are kidding me, I mean proper Joker resale prices for this Splatter variant! C’mon nobody with half a brain cell is going to pay that kind of money for a noise fest slab of coloured wax.

My copy had the worst surface noise I've ever experienced. Much worse than any picture disc I own, kind of on par with a Flexi. I contacted FYE about an exchange, since this was $50 and completely unlistenable. The assured me TWICE they would would exchange it and would contact me once my record was checked into their system. Instead of doing that, they repackaged and re-sold my copy without any notice. They said the were sold out and I was out of luck. My fault for trusting them, for sure, but I'll forever curse FYE's name. If you choose to invest in this, know it's simply a investment piece and not a real record. Shame too, I liked the 3 color splatter and love this soundtrack. Such a limited edition deserved a FAR better pressing. Go to hell FYE.

Does anybody know, what format the download has? Only MP3 or also Hi-Res?

So what was with all the advertisements for this purple version being limited to 750 copies?
