This release by Hiroshi is not the most well-known on Djax-Up-Beats, but I do consider it to be one of the best on the entire label. All the tracks on these two records sound so very different from most of the stuff being produced in the European and US techno/acid scene at the time, probably because of the unique position of Hiroshi at the time of release.
I haven't experienced the big wave of techno/acid/hardcore at first hand during the 90's, so I can't really comment on the popularity of these styles of music outside of Europe, but I do believe that people in Japan, and in this case Hiroshi Morohashi (probably being one of the first at creating experimental techno in his country), had an entire different perspective on how electronic dance music should sound.

The most fond memory I have of this release is strolling the crowded, neon-lit streets of the Shinjuku district of Tokyo at night with these tracks coming from headphones. Never before did a record sound so perfectly in harmony with it's surroundings.

Although all 8 tracks (there is one hidden track after D2) are great examples of musical excellence, my personal favorites include A1, B and D2. Music for the feet as well the brain. Very special.
