This is a solid release from Data Discs. The packaging makes superb use of the original 1987 Sega promotional artwork. There is a high quality poster included of the artwork as a bonus.

The double vinyl is generously cut at 45rpm, and the sound quality is far superior to the original 1987 Japanese vinyl release of the soundtrack by GMO. Great job!

Musically, this is one of Hiro's best works alongside OutRun and Space Harrier. However, it's a real shame that Data Discs omitted the original melody version of 'Final Take Off'. Its distinctive theme is iconic appearing in many home conversions, including the recent 3DS port, even if it was cut from the arcade release. I've never been a huge fan of the SST arrangements as they lack the iconic electronic punch of the originals, but they are a pleasant bonus nevertheless.
