I've loved the CD for years, and this LP reissue is brilliant -- one of my best-sounding pieces of vinyl by far.

One of my favourite 90s albums. Classic post Massive Attack/Portishead material. The main drum loop on lead single, 2Wicky, is from Isaac Hayes' cover of Walk On By from 1969 fact fiends: https://www.discogs.com/Isaac-Hayes-Walk-On-By-By-The-Time-I-Get-To-Phoenix/release/9478829

Great sounding. The A and B side labels were switched on my copy. (A side was actually B and vice versa)

2Wicky is brilliant, but the rest of the album isn't nearly as coherent or catchy. Point of reference, I revere Massive Attack's Mezzanine as the king of the genre and every track holds up well to this day. Just really, really wish they had an entire album with 2Wicky's flavor.

Amazing boxset, worth every penny! Now do the same for their other albums.

I put this one among the better ones of the trip hop era of the 90s, something that was overused and then dissapeared. Dubby rhythms, great vocals from Liesje Sadonius, some shoegaze nods (Nr 9), and yes, some annoying samples. It has an expected nocturnal mood and all the clichés you can think of the genre, but it also has some indie attitude that makes it stand out among the other albums. Not to mention among the other overcooked Hooverphonic albums.

This sells for $180.95 Australian through the Wow HD website. Is it worth that much??

If you have to listen to one album from Hoover(phonic), it must be this one. Tracks like "Inhaler" or "Plus Profond" are pure gems. Too bad they moved from such brilliantly cold atmospheres into plain FM-radio pop...
