Ok you have this new sound from Chicago called house.
Play the dub mix of Hotline - "Rock this house" next to any US Trax artist and you would believe it came from the other side of the Atlantic!
But no....Huddersfield instead!
From the opening sounds of the DX sounding bass line to the claps the hats the cowbells , rim shots , triangles and the electronic pitched harp sweeps...
This has one funky journey in the form of a black round plastic disc!
I Bought this in Bluebird in London in the mid 80s after reading a review in a magazine which they described the track as a "soulful groovy number"!!!
Hmmmm ...Just like house music set out to be!
If you like the sound of Larry Heard or Marshall Jefferson's early work your gonna love this one!
And.........it’s British!
