How anyone could favor "I Need Your Love" over "Boom" is beyond me. Boom was such a groundbreaking record when it came out, and it's still the best. I guess techno made little inroads in NYC and this is one of them-clearly influenced by a lot of the detroit and european techno producers but still has that big pants touch, distinctly a NYC jam.

I Need Your Love...is the one for me. Reminiscent of Toddy Terry sampling style...because of the Arthur Russell Dinosaur L Go Bang samples maybe?! Whatever;...it kicks. I don't know what went in the NY water supply at this time, but F me there was something in the air too. Strictly was a monster at this time...didn't even bother to listen "yep..Strictly..in the bag you go!"

This release is one that made Strictly Rhythm the best house label for many years, IMHO. Added to the greatest house tracks of all time, Boom (A Touch of Jazz) mix, is an unprecedented masterpiece of house genius. Very few house tracks I've heard can match it.
