When I was a teenager and more of a "blues purist" I hated this album. Then one day many years later I heard it again not knowing who it was at first, and realized it was actually quite good. The versions of "Smokestack Lightning" and "Moanin At Midnight" are hypnotic. (Soundgarden later used this Pete Cosey arrangement of "Smokestack Lightning" on their 1st LP, though they didn't do it justice.)
