I like this record! It takes me back to a fun time in my life. The record itself is mastered very well and sounds great! It's not like it gets played every day! Listening to it right now for the first time in probably 10 years. Thumbs Up here!

80's classic! Classic 80s! Love it or hate it, it stands iconic!

I really disagree that this is a bad album. In fact it has at least 3 or 4 songs that got plenty of airplay and placed in the top ten Billboard charts in 1983 and 1984. Others songs placed in the top 20. My personal favorite song from this album is "Walking On A Thin Line". I don't necessarrily think this album is "bad", but several of the songs where over played by radio stations across the country. So, "The Heart Of Rock And Roll" and "I Want A New Drug", the more popular songs, have become just annoying songs now because most of us who lived through this time period are tired of hearing these songs. Also this was the album that catapulted the band to stardom. It was also their best selling album of all of their album releases.

Regardless of wether or not this album is a good or bad album, we are all entitled to our opinions. However, Huey Lewis is one of my favorite famous personalities that I have ever had the pleasure to meet in person. I got to meet him on April 21st 1987 at the Capitol Center in Landover Md. Thanks to my Mother and her job during this era. A good friend and myself traveled up from Norfolk, Virginia and had after show passes for a meet and greet session. He was surprisingly an extremely friendly person and just didn't come across as the typical "I'm a rock star, and I dont have time for this but my manager is making me do this and anyway I have better things to Dothan meet with you" kind of attitude that others I have meet in person tend to express. He was joking around with the other fans who had passes and treated his fans with respect and like equals. The food services was incredible and abundant. He and a couple of the other band members started out with a Q&A session while we where sitting around in chairs still stuffing our faces. They told us about road trip encounters and several other funny events that they had endured to get where they where at the time. Usually, most meat and greet events that I've attended have only lasted about 30 minutes, never with food like this special and much memberal event that I'll never forget. He spent well over an hour or more making sure to talk individually to each and everyone person there. I have a picture with him and two others in a frame in my music room along with several signed items by others I have meet and many original Phish, Widesprad Panic, and Bob Mould concert posters and others. Bob Mould is very fan friendly as well. I have several items he has signed for me and have meet him 3 times. I have two posters, a RSD 7 inch picture sleeve, his Book, his latest cd " Beauty and Ruin" and an awesome drumhead with doodled lyrics under his signature.

The absolute worst person I ever meet in person had a bad case of what I call "The David Lee Roth Syndrome". This person was Sting. He was and may still be the biggest jerk and had the worst attitude of any rock star I've have ever been really excited about meeting, but was so disappointed by his pompous demeanor. There where a total of 20 people in a room that was about the size of an average hotel room. Ten of the people where security, the other ten the fans. He stayed about 10 minutes if not less. He basically just walked down the line up of fans as the security had lined us up along a wall and all he said was "Hello, what's your name, well as you know, I'm Sting." then he turned and just left. He ignored others who asked questions as he made his pass along the wall and moved to the next person. He didn't even have the decency to at least say "thank you for coming out to the show"or "it was a pleasure to meet you". It was so pitiful and irritating that I threw my Ticket stub and meet and greet pass in the trash can in the same room where I meet this jerk. It was definitely something he did not want to do, but was required to do I assume by the promoters. He's the only person that I have meet that was so self righteous and conceited. This was the first solo tour for Sting in support for the release of his "Nothing Like The Sun" album. It was on January 29th,1988 at Willian And Mary Hall in Williamsburg VA. My friend that had always just thought Sting was the be all to end all, said she though he was a total horse's rear. She had idolized him for years and was a huge fan up until that evening.

I really like his solo work, a lot actually, but I am not as much a fan of him as a person as I once was. I know he's done some great things for other countries, Amnesty International, etc., but he acted like it was degrading to have to meet those of us who thought he was a great performer. I can see why Stewart Copeland got to the point where he and Sting couldn't even be in the same room together. Maybe he was in a hurry or just a complete jerk, but everytime I hear a solo song of his, I think about that diasppointing evening.

My Mother worked for a company called "Cellar Door Productions" that booked many bands in and around Norfolk VA. She could often times get at least two passes from All Acess to mostly After Show Events. As far as Sports, I drag this out on MFSL ocassionaly to listen to some of the songs, just depends on my mood or if somone comes over and thumbs through my collection and they wantnto listen to this extremly good album.
