In the 80 's was one of the most successful Human League synthpop bands. Their catchy songs Don't You Want Me, Mirror Man, The Lebanon and Human were all worldwide hits and the album Dare (1981) is still seen as one of the crucial records from that period. Since then the success waned. The comeback album Octopus from 1995 did little. We are now in 2001 arrived and suddenly the 80s sound of Duran Duran, O.M.D. and Soft Cell back hip thanks to bands such as Ladytron, Air and Zita Swoon. Human League is also trying to take advantage of this revival with a second comeback album, titled Secrets. In total the eighth studio album by the band. As in the famous music video for "Don't You Want Me are the three of them again on the cover: singer Joanne Catherall and Philip Oakley and the singers Susanne Sulley. It's an amazing good plate. The band sounds exactly as you remember her, but without that it has become dated; they are very clear with their times. Strongest point of the group is always the vocals from Oakley, and he is still not lost his touch. The warm synthesizer sounds come from the computer by Neil Sutton, who also wrote some of the songs. There are gems of songs on Secrets. The opener All I Wanted is already released as a single and can thus be a hit again. Also sung by the ladies Never Give Your Heart has commercial possibilities.
