Immortal Winos of Soul ‎– Live at The Stone House

Static Network & Records ‎– SNR 1016
CD, Album, Stereo

The Immortal Winos Of Soul were formed in 1995 by four guys who share a mutual love of late '60's gut-bucket soul. Influenced by the likes of Ray Charles, Otis Redding and early to mid period Stones, the Winos have been called "The Greatest band in Detroit, no make that the World" (Orbit Magazine) and one of "Detroit's best bar bands" (Brian McCollum, Detroit Free Press). Just a few months shy of a year ago the Immortal Winos began a Thursday night residency at one of Detroit's oldest standing bars, the Stone House. The first cold winter months had the Winos playing to a handful of die-hard fans and aptly, the local winos. Over the next few months the Winos built up a sizable crowd. On any given Thursday night one can rub elbows with bikers, businessmen, local residents and an assortment of club kids. LIVE AT THE STONEHOUSE is a thank you to the people at the Stonehouse who have supported band over the last year. This CD is a little slice of Thursday nights in Detroit. So take a listen and if you're ever in the Motor City on a Thursday night . . .stop on by.
