I'm not really a huge fan of "House Music" per se, but after listening to this acquired record set I have grown to appreciate what's going on here. Most true House music styles (even in '93) were just - well - I don't know! They don't really speak to me. But the tracks on this little comp are really quite good. The analog synth sounds are less than the usual "cheesy" and little of the "too minimal" and more of the unique "underground" sound I look for in techno, old or new. I kept this one because of that. It's a keeper, and with the crowds not being as picky as me, then this one should really set off the house lovers' fantasies. Some pretty clean, tight grooves abound here and there's just enough of the "underground" sound to keep this from being just another crappy house comp. Try it out and see what you think...
