Hands down one of the best releases of 2020 for me.

Apache hits its stride with that classic 2 Step rhythm and an accompanying sub bass growl that underlays the track throughout like a seismic event. Subtle drum patterns are woven in and out as Koffee's Rapture vocal is pitched up without going full chipmunk and adds another dimension to what would be a cracking dark Garage track, but it's just elevated by that almost chant-like melancholic vocal.

The flipside sees Ignite explore familiar territories that a whole host of up and coming UK Garage producers have been exploring and mapping for the last few years, simultaneously paying homage to the glory days of the genre whilst being forward thinking too. Their ability to combine the familiar rhythmic patterns with subtle twists that modernise the sound, as well as push the limits of the low end capabilities is what makes the genre sound so fresh.
