Rantoul's prodigious release schedule continues apace. Rapidly establishing himself on the Good Looking 12" roster and stamping his mark all over the world on the Progression sessions tour, Newcastle's finest delivers two more. Set favourites for the last six months, Rantoul paves the way for his debut EP release this summer.

JOURNEY
The raw 909 drum presets of the intro give Journey an immediate old skool, tech flavour. The engorged, phasing pads swell further as the light but brooding piano refrain dances over the brusque beats. Out of the breakdown rises the punchy, undulating harp riff - psychedelic ballet buisness.

CHANGELING
Suspensful pads lead the way for some driving, fractured beats and a layer of high frequency freaks and shimmers. Delicately delayed keyboard stabs chatter along with the breaks. The bass jumps up & down from mid to low end. Something from the introspective end of Rantoul's oeuvre.

GLR042
The duo from Athens return with two more gifts from the Gods. With tracks by the DATload coming in and regular spots in every Bukem DJ set across the world, their progress looks assured. Check the next big track on the forthcoming Progression Sessions 5 mix CD and see for yourself.

PERENNIAL SPRING
A set starting intro if ever there was one. Bubbling synth washes and light sparkling FX herald the arrival of a soft, repeating bleep signal. The sound of jet engines cuts across the soundscape. Out the grandiose beginnings creep the clattering breaks, riding the filter wave and delivering the tracks momentum. Rolling 808 bass tones fire up for dancefloor effect. Deft keyboard touches and a clever use of silence in the breakdown gives the second chapter of the track the adrenaline rush.

NEW FIELDS OF EMOTION
Gentle, sustained pads, breathy vocals and keyboard washes nurse the rolling slightly chopped break. The rumbling 808 bass and sprinkling of percussion keeps the tempered vibe riding throughout the journey.
