Surprising that this one doesn't get much attention.
With its dubwize basslines, collossal drones and imploring vocals, this one takes its time to get through its 14 minutes with parts 1 and 2 stretched over two sides of vinyl.

The percussion, as always with Shackleton, is first rate. He doesn't use loops, each bar appears to be played.
The ear may not always be able to tell - but the brain can.
Frightening crackles and loud distortion bring side 1 to a close as the massive entity collapses under its own weight.

Side 2 brings fresher, cleaner climes. But not for long as once again we submerge into the chill with looped vocals ("let me ask you"), stealthy percussion, building drones and driving bass.

On the curiously named Less Music imprint which was aptly named as it only lasted for five releases.
The 2008 - 2010 period - a great time for music.
