Pretty cool. I only have this and volume 5. 5 is WAAAAY better. You can tell these guys still ahd a lot to learn, but that said it's still better than most turntablist CDs of the time. There's a lot of the DJs just talking shit at each other but there is some really good trickery here and there. Best track is Invasion of the Octopus People, which Disk cut up into many different versions later on. The later Shiggar Fraggar's have Mix Master Mike on them too. He's not on this and definately made the Piklz a LOT better. Still, this is well worth buying if you;re into this kind of thing. but i must say right now, if you like Turntablism but "Warszawa" by Praxis. The first track is a 20 minute turntable session with Mix Master Mike and Disk and is the finest turntablism i have heard. Absolutely mind blowing. It's what got me to really appreciate turntablism as an art form. If you like this, you will love what they did on that Praxis CD.

The Shiggar Fraggar Show! Vol. 1 was recorded live at hip hop slam in Oakland, California and was broadcasted live as a Pirate Fuckin’ Radio Show. It featured Invisibl Skratch Piklz members Dj Q-bert, Dj Disk and Dj Shortkut, when the Piklz were still widely known as the "West Coast Rock Steady Crew DJs” at that time. It also features the mysterious bag-headed individual Shiggar Fraggar, this was also the first time that the mumbling, moonshine-swilling Shiggar Fraggar had been heard since his introduction to the world on Dj Q-bert's classic 1994 release, Demolition Pumpkin Squeeze Musik.

This release is classic Invisibl Skratch Piklz style, hardcore scratching, beat juggling with mind-blowing finesse, so weird and wonderful, you wonder what coming next and the samples are just amazing. They range from really obscure radio commercial to very recognizable old school beats and breaks. My personal favorite track from this album is Invasion Of The Octopus People (Drunken Puss Mix).

There is only one criticism to make for this album and that the amount of talking and clowning around on this release, it fun the first time you hear it but by the nine or ten play it get a bit tedious. But with the range of music editing technology available today, it doesn’t take long to edit all the talking and clowning out, leave you with some dope Turntablism. All and all this is a solid release and I would recommend anyone who’s into Turntablism to cop this release, period.
