I have adored White Christmas ever since I was a kid. It was a massive favorite for my entire family actually. My grandparents would make sure we caught it on TV every year at the gatherings and everyone would sing along with the songs. Years later it became a must have on VHS for many family members.

The music in the movie is timeless, true classics every single one of them. The only flaw with this LP release is that Rosemary Clooney isn't singing on it, therefore I gave it a rating of 4/5. Her absence was due to her contract back in the 50's with Columbia records, so she could not participate in recording this album. She did however record a release of her own of many songs from the film and it was released as a 10" pressing on Columbia Records.

As well many do not know that actress Vera-Ellen (who played Judy in the film) did not actually sing in the film, it was Rosemary Clooney's sister Betty Clooney who sang in her place. With both voices missing, Peggy Lee and Trudy Stevens stepped up to the plate to sing on this record, and they both totally NAILED it!

I cherish the copy I found on the Brunswick label as it's in pristine condition, and I bought it at a yard sale for only $3, you just can't beat that price for sure. This LP is a real treasure for any true big band/orchestral Christmas music lover.
